ALEXIS MICHEL

Alexis, Founding Partner of A.Michel, has more than 20 years of experience. He has specialized his practice in foreign trade and customs law, as well as in providing legal advisory for the identification and development of areas of commercial opportunity for expansion in new markets based on administrative instruments implemented by Mexican authorities.

 

His practice also includes the analysis and enforcement of free trade agreements, tariff classification, customs valuation, origin verifications, criteria confirmations, certifications before different authorities, as well as in foreign trade promotion programs, such as maquila, sectorial promotion and drawback.

 

Alexis has extensive experience in internal audits regarding obligations related to foreign trade operations, as well as in representing clients before audits, administrative processes and contestations of resolutions related to the above before tax and customs authorities.

 

He is also a specialist in international unfair trade practices, such as antidumping and subventions.

 

Alexis is fluent in Spanish and English.
